Partnerships with TRET

With many years of experience, an enviable track record of attendance growth, high profile international keynote speakers, a reputation for high quality content and a truly Australasian audience, TRET is without doubt the leader in real estate business to business education and events.

AREC incorporating ARPM + Principals' Leadership Forum

TRET's headline event, AREC, the Australasian Residential Real Estate Conference (which now incorporates ARPM, the Australasian Residential Property Management Conference, and a one-day Principals' Leadership Forum) provides a fantastic opportunity for businesses to present their brand, products and services to a highly targeted and truly qualified audience of real estate decision makers looking for innovative ways to build their business and increase their productivity.

Event and attendance history

AREC has running since 1997 and is held annually in May at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour and includes a dedicated trade exhibition. The conference attracts in the vicinity of 2,500 delegates from across Australia and New Zealand with a small number also coming from the US and UK. Approximately 50% of delegates come from New South Wales and Victoria with the next largest group coming from Queensland and West Australia.

Historically AREC has a keen group of followers who attend each year and make up about 50% of the audience. The other 50% have never attended the event before. Particular attention is paid to ensuring the program content and speaker line up is kept fresh to meet the expectations of repeat attendees.

Event statistics

AREC delegates are made up of 45% business owners and/or key decision makers and 60% of delegates are male.

Research from AREC07 revealed 97% of delegates would recommend the event to others and 94% felt that AREC07 achieved or exceeded their expectations. 65% of delegates attend because of the quality of the speakers and the relevance of the topics to their business.

The Expo is visited by 97% of delegates with 83% indicating they found the Expo beneficial with a view to doing business with exhibitors. 42% visit the Expo to keep abreast of trends and 21% visit to source new products and ideas.

In 2007 the delegate breakdown was:

  • NSW: 25%
  • VIC: 25%
  • QLD: 15%
  • NZ/Overseas: 10%
  • ACT: 5%
  • SA/TAS/NT: 5%
  • WA: 15%

TRET markets its events to a database of over 40,000 principals, sales agents and property managers via mail and email and conducts a number of targeted campaigns in the lead up to the event.

A variety of exhibition and sponsorship and promotional opportunities are available each year for AREC to accommodate a broad range of budgets.

Australasian Agency Principals' and Sales Managers' Workshop

For some years now TRET has also presented an intensive workshop style program targeted at business owners and senior sales managers interested in pushing their business and performance to the next level.

Running over 3-4 days, the workshop takes place in a different resort location each September before the Spring selling season and attracts around 120 delegates. It provides a unique opportunity to step outside the day to day business environment and focus 100% on working on the business rather than in it.

The Principals' Workshop, as it is commonly referred to, does not have a trade exhibition as such, but sponsorship packages are available that provide the opportunity to put your brand and products before this highly targeted audience.
